Can someone help me with this, i have two non related objects, Account and Sales_team__c, for account when an executive is selected, i need the code to fetch assistant executive from Sales_team__c and populate it on account object...

I guess you will have to elaborate a little bit more for us to be able to help.
What are the relationship between Saless_Team__c and the executive (how do you relate the assistant to the executive would be what i want to know)
What do you want to populate on Account? assistant executive or Sales_Team__c? 

Looks like you have some options (Trigger for sure, and maybe a workflow or process builder).
