If you want to repair VHD file, you should try the VHD tool. It's a freeware utility provided by Microsoft to fix corrupt VHD file. Also, you can try a couple of easy manual tricks: 
  • Run CHKDSK on the corrupt VHD file.
  • Create a new Virtual machine, add the corrupt VHD file. And then, compact it.
