Need to pinpoint the metadata type that Record Page Settings sit within


A User has changed the Record Page Settings and this has changed all page layouts for every object in our Org.
We do backup nightly changes in data and metadata but I am not sure which component of the metadata this would be captured in. Can I have some advise pleas,e we need to revert to the Record Pages as they were before this change was made ASAP.

This is something you can not revert and it is not stored in any place visible to end user like us. There are possibly two approach to resolve this
1. Raise a case with Salesforce and check with them if they can help you reverting the old settings.
2. There are only two views as of now which can be changed Group and Full View (Beta). I would suggest if you are not sure what objects are on these views then first update all to default and updae the specific object record page in either one of the above type.
