Does the OEM Edition include Reports? Dashboards?

I have an idea for a knock-out application that would be great as an AppExchange application.

I've seen that the OEM edition includes 5 tabs and 50 custom objects.  What about...

(1)  Reports tab -- I really don't want to have to code my own reports component
(2)  Dashboards would be nice
(3)  If either or both of those are available, do they count against your 5 tab limit?

Thanks!

Salesforce.com did not provide a lot of details at the various press briefings, and there is even less on line. I keep hearing 5 tabs. I think that is 5 standard tabs - Home, Accounts, Contacts, Reports, and then Leads or Opportunities. Looking at the Remend application on AppExchange, it looks like you can add quite a large number of custom tabs.

Still, it would be nice to see a succinct listing of:

- What comes with OEM?

- What is required to launch an OEM? Approvals? Certifications? Costs?

- Who handles the support calls? How?

- Who handles the billing? How?

While OEM is exciting, it is still a work in progres.

As a note on vocabulary "OEM Edition" is now being referred to as Embedded Edition by the ISV team.  As well to get a good understanding of the features that are included, check out any documentation around the Force.com Platform One App licenses.  These FPOA seats are the primary licenses used in an OEM product roll out, currently.

1/2) Reports and Dashboards ARE included with all Force.com Platform Licenses.

 3) No, the standard tabs do not count against your tab count.  Looks like the tab count limitation has now been removed, you are limited to 8 custom objects, but no mention of tabs.

To answer David's questions;

- What comes with OEM?

See table in my other post (20,000 Character limit in posts.)

- What is required to launch an OEM? Approvals? Certifications? Costs?

Cost to SFDC, is your licensing costs.  Other costs are of course product DEV and marketing related.

Certs - None that we are aware of currently.

Approval - Happens when you get your OEM ISV agreement signed.

- Who handles the support calls? How?

The ISV is responsible for supporting clients.  SFDC gives support to the ISV for technical issues.

- Who handles the billing? How?

ISV does the billing to the end client, SFDC bills the ISV partner.

While OEM is exciting, it is still a work in progres.

Much progress has been made in the last 2 years.  This product is quite well baked at this point.

I know this thread is a few years old, but do you guys know how much does it cost to increase the OEM data storage? I mean, 20 MB per user won't be enough. We need that each user could attach PDF documents to some custom objects. Each PDF could be from just a few KB up to 10 MB.

Hi,

We are also looking to build an app on force.com platform. Please let us know the current oem price and what does it include.

Thanks.
