RESET SECURITY TOKEN?

Hi

 

Interview question:once reset security token is  generated after  howmuch time it will expire?can anybody help me?

Security token never expires until:

 

1. "Reset My Security Token" (Request for new Security token)

2. When the User's Password is changed.

Once u change password or when u click reset security token.

Hi sourav yes ur corect i got mail but in that the information regarding the expire of the token is not availble how can i know that one

As  far my concern ,security token has no validity .You may use a security token until you don't reset your token to a new one .

 

When a new token is generated  the older token expires .

 

One more thing , if a profile is given IP ranges to 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255(i.e accessible from all IPs)  then the users with that profile cannot see the RESET SECURITY TOKEN option .
