Setting source from Sandbox in Eclipse -

Hello

I installed Eclipse Force.com IDE today. Installation went good. This is the one for Windows 64-bit.

While trying to connect to my Sandbox (Test), I entered the following:

Project Name = <Here I specified a project name>

Username = <Entering the username that I use to login to test.salesforce.com>

Password = <the password> + <Security Token>

Environment = Sandbox

When I click on login, I get the following message:

Unable to fetch the organization details for '<Username as I entered above>'

What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks

gran

I'm not sure but can this be caused by a Firewall?

How to check where if a Firewall is causing this?

thanks,

gran

Hi

,

If you are taking first time your project in eclipse then some time we need to do whitle list our ip address on salesforce org.

for this you have to login in your org and network setup by click on setup link and provide you ip to org and then fetch the project in you org.

I think this will help you if it work then mark as a solution and give me kudo's by click on star icon

Thanks

Hi Gran,

Are able to login to Sandbox with the same username, password, IP and token?

Ashish

Even login to Sandbox doesnt work, though for Sandbox, I'm using a different username that belongs to the Sandbox.

I'm trying to connect from inside my corporate environment, and I think, (and still thinking) that this might be caused by some kind of firewall. But I want to be sure about that before I approach my networking team colleagues.

Hi Gran,

Try logging into Sandbox, and if the credentials work there, then use the same credentials in IDE as well. Should work.

In the Sandbox Org, check if your IP is added in the Trusted IP ranges

Setup | Security Controls | network Access | Tristed IP ranges
