Does force.com support spring framework?

What's the meaning of spring'12 in salesforce, is it the same with the spring framework we used in development?

I am a new learner about force.com, so I have not got some ideas about this? Does anyone can tell me where I can get the information?

Please help me, thanks.

Hi,

No Spring does not mean Spring Framework :)

Salesforce keep on updating their API's and Features. They release these features 3 times every year (Spring, Summer, Winter) and they call these releases as Spring'12, Summer'12 and so on (Release Name + Year).

Hope this helps!!

If you are interested in development; you can start your force.com journey with following link:

Also you can find lot of material on Developer force under "Documentation" section.
