Mail Merge template population using Apex

Is it possible to read the Mail Merge template through Apex and populate with SF custom object data?

Code samples will be a great help.

I also need to do something like this. I want to use subject and body of email templates associate it with some custom object and merge the fields of that custom object with the template.

 

Anybody has come through this kind of situation, please let me know.

Even i am also having the same requirement, Reading the mail merge template and i need to populate the merge fields with salesforce data. 

Still searchin, but could not get the solution.Can any one help me on this??
