Need some idea on response management

Can some one suggest a way/workaround for this scenario.

Our email marketing team sends sales emails to contacts (leads) in our database (SFDC) with the obective to get response from them. The email messages are categorized under multiple themes e.g. 'A', 'B', 'C' etc. Based on prospect's response individual email marketing rep. has to update the SFDC record as Cold or Warm or Hot.

If the prospect responds to 'A' message SFDC record should be updated for that message or theme only. So a prospect response could be a cold or warm or hot for message 'A' or 'B' or 'C'.
I thought of using 3 checkboxes as Cold, Warm, Hot for message A, 3 more checkboxes for message B. As I am going to have 8 types of messages I need to create 8*3=24 checkboxes.

I don't feel this is the way. Can some one suggest an approach for this, so that I can pull reports for type of response for the respective message type.

Thank you

Hi Rich,

I would suggest to use formula image fields https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewSolution?urlname=How-to-use-images-in-formula-fields&language=en_US (https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewSolution?urlname=How-to-use-images-in-formula-fields&language=en_US)
which will hold the hotness indicator for your prospect. you can have a another formula field for reports which will hold the probability % for prospect.

Thanks,
N.J

Thank you for the response N.J. In your given case the green, yellow, red (can be compared to cold, warm, hot response types) colore are determined based on the Amound field. But in my scenario individual rep. look at the outlook response they receive from prospect and have to update the SFDC lead record as Cold or Warm or Hot manually. So the response type is determined and have to be updated manually by the rep. for the respective message/theme he uses. 3 Checkboxes for individual message/theme can give details and help Rep. to see and avoid contacting with message 'A' if the prospect who has already given a cold response for message 'A'.

As I said, I believe it wouldn't be a best practice to create so many checkboxes.

Thank you once again.
