What is web to lead?

Hi all,
I want to know what is web to lead? and how can i integrate this with my website.
please tell me what content should be prepair for this requirment.

You may also want to create a jump page where prospects respond to a campaign. With a little extra HTML code, you can redirect that information toSalesforce to create new leads.

There are many ways to capture leads into your account, Web to lead is one of the popular way in capturing a leads is from website. 

1) Goto Setup -->Customize -->Lead --> Web-to-Lead 
2) Check whether Web-to-Lead is enabled for your organisation
3) Click Create Web-to-Lead form, in the next window select the list of fields do you need to collect from your customers
4) Click Generate button, it will generate the HTML code, just use that HTML code in your website

Hi!  I have the HTML code and a form appears, but only in the upper-left corner of the page.  Is there additional code to center the form?  Our page is powered by squarespace.
