Contacts sync with Marketo-Salesforce

Hi developers,
Iam just wondering, 
Is it possible to sync the leads of marketo as contacts into salesforce? what are the challenges may come with this approach?

Thanks for this, I read this some "n" times but still unclear of how to do?
My question is what may the trigger like, sync some leads as contacts in SF and sync some leads as leads in SF
Any help is highly appreciated,
