Not all Standard functionalities will be supported by Lightning components.
As you can see, this means not every business scenario is supported in Lightning Experience. For example, these scenarios aren’t supported:You’ve enabled standard quotes in Salesforce to support your field sales team, so they can generate quotes during customer visits You’ve set up collaborative forecasting for your sales ops team to support the sales process and manage your company’s pipeline You’ve deployed Salesforce Console for Sales for your inside sales team to help them manage multiple leads simultaneously[Note]This isn’t a comprehensive list of supported and unsupported features. For a more detailed list, please see theSalesforce Help.
If any of your users’ primary Salesforce use cases involves these features, those users probably aren’t good candidates forLightning Experience, and you might want to exclude them from any Lightning Experience pilots for now. The more complex your sales process, the likelier the probability your users may need to stick with Salesforce Classic for a while.
So what do you do if you have sales reps you think would benefit from Lightning Experience, but service reps and other employees who primarily use items on the above list? Depending on your edition, you can deploy Lightning Experience to a set of users, using profiles or permission sets. We’ll cover this in detail later, but for now, let’s talk about the benefits you get once you deploy Lightning Experience.
