Deploy change set with Apex Test Failure
I am trying to deploy my first change set. When performing a Validation of the Inbound Change Set, I receive an Apex test error. I don't know how to read / correct this error. I would appreciate any assistance. I have attached screenshots of the Apex Class and the Apex Test error message.
Thanks in advance,
Christina

without seeing test code we can't exactly help...but you have an assert that fails..... so look at see what that assert is and validate that it is correct and you have correct result depicted...
e.g.
integer i = 0;
integer j = 1;
//this would throw an error and cause your test to fail
System.assertEquals(i,j);
//this would pass
System.assertNotEquals(1,i);
etc...
Thank you for the prompt response. I do not do coding. I do know that the Milestone PM is a native app. Is there another means of getting this resolved? Can I bypass the error and perform the change set? Do I need to file a case directly with SalesForce? Any other suggestions?
Christina
In class Milestone1_gettingstaredcontroller.testgettingshare project method at line no 325 you are using system.assert statement.
Here expected value is not coming.
Before deploying your component run once test class and check codecob=verage is more than 75% or not and test class is a success or not.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks

Following release management practices will prevent you from forgetting critical dependencies, failing to communicate potential changes to users, and rushing through the process. When you deploy change sets as part of regularly scheduled maintenance, you have a framework that allows you to think the process through and ensure you’re communicating with all stakeholders.
