How do you make Time Machine only backup Emails on my Mac?

How can I make the Time Machine on my Mac only backup my email database from two different email clients namely Apple Mail and Outlook 2016 for Mac? Is there a possible solution for this, can we make Time Machine do this or if there is some other solution available then do let me know asap. Thanks

You can use this third party app called Mail backup x that is capable of backing up emails from all the email clients available on mac.
There are a lot more features that this app provides, visit http://www.mailbackupx.com/ to have a look at them all.

Hope this helps. Thanks

Hi Amenta,

Sorry TimeMachine is not able to resolve to that level but you can still achieve a backup of your mail.

For Apple Mail exporting it to a backup file. Go to the file menu 'Mailbox' and slide down to 'Export Mailbox...' There you can select all or a few of your mailbox's.

For Outlook you can likewise do the same thing exporting your mail file.
In either case you'll need to copy them off your drive or select the external drive.

Thanks,
Nagendra
