What does the status 'Awaiting Custom URL' with 'No HTTPS' mean after I have submitted a new domain name for creation in production?

I have successfully uploaded the Certification and its Key months ago, but just now we are ready to launch our community with our new Custom URL.  Am I missing something for this to turn up or is it just going through provisioning?

We found we hadn't created the Custom URL or activated it.  I guess I didn't fully understand the directions or it wasn't explicitly clear to me we needed to do that.  I was assuming that through the process of activation, it would establish the URL.  Good lesson learned!

I think you need to activate the domain. Refer below articles.

We have found the same issue after creating a domain. status 'Awaiting Custom URL' with 'No HTTPS'.
Can you detail the steps you have followed to solve this issue?
