How to redirect an external site to salesforce communities ?

We have an requirement to redirect an external site for e.g. http://www.xyz.com to Salesforce communities URL for e.g.  https://<community.portal.com>/service whenever a person tries to access the external site as mentioned above. How can we configure that ?

Yes. I got the solution. It has to be done from the external site's website config.
