I am facing below issue while checking App Customization challenage #2.

Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong:
There was an unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. We recommend using a new Developer Edition (DE) to check this challenge. If you're using a new DE and seeing this error, please post to the developer forums and reference error id: HMNTOCOG

Can some one look into issue and provide solution for same

I got the similar error while doing the challenge 2, it was related to one of the fields actually,i deleted the created fields in the order of most recent one and started checking "check challenge" after deleting each fields and found the the issue. You can try the same.
Or open the developer console while running the check challenge and got the the logs section on dev console right click on the most recent log and select open raw log. Let me know how it proceeds
