How to Remove Chatter Answers with Eclipse Oxygen

Hello, I have Eclipse Oxygen and went through the steps to add force.com.  However, when I delete the chatter answers classes in Eclipse, they are still apearing in production so I must be doing something wrong.  I am not a programmer, but can follow instructions.  Is someone able to walk me step by step for how I should do this?  Thank you!

I was able to delete by making the change in sandbox and deploying it to production.  The problem was I was deleting it from production and saving the change, but that wasn't working - the change had to be made in sandbox and deployed to production.

Hello - I've seen both of these - and I'm trying to do the second link.  What I'm looking for are instructions on how to delete with Eclipse as you can't delete apex classes in production.
