How campaign statistics fields value are calculated

Hi i am digging into campaign object of sales cloud. 
I am not getting how fields like Leads in Campaign, Converted Leads in Campaign, Contacts in Campaign are calculated and auto populated on specific action

Please help on this!! Thanks!!

I checked this link. It gives description of fields like for what they are used and when they are populated.

But i am looking how exactly salesforce internally calculates them. is there any documentation provided for that like that?

By creating report campaign we can identify how the values are calculated.

@Ujwala I'm in the same situation as you.  I'd like to understand how these field values are being calculated by salesforce because it's not really matching up with what I see when I enabled campaign influence. Did you get to the bottom of this?
