API_DISABLED_FOR_ORG error when I try to access metadata API from workbench

Hi All,
Could you please help to enable metadata api which I am trying to access from workbench in developer org.
I get error message - API_DISABLED_FOR_ORG -The REST Metadata API is not enabled for this Organization
And API is enabled on the profile.

Thanks for quick replay, in workbench of my developer org i selected Rest explorer and I selected - /services/data/v37.0/metadata api. Please let me know if I am missing anythng .
