CMS Connect set-up

I'm looking to connect a Salesforce Community with a Sitecore website via the CMS Connect feature.  But have been unable to get this working.  Please can I ask some basic questions:

1. What is a root path and how can I find it for Sitecore?

2. The Header & Footer path indicate a need to link to a "header.html" file.  But the website embeds the header in the Body section via CSS.  How can I put this set-up into CMS Connect

Very stuck.

I would like to know the answer as well. Did you ever get one? Problem for me is the header and footer are ascx web controls and are not their own seperate html files. If you are supposed to set up html connection to "header.html" How do you do this, or can you, in Sitecore?

No, gave up.  I think the issue is Salesforce built this feature for themsleves connecting the Adobe and pushed out as a "customer feature".  But Sitecore doesn't work like Adobe.
