Canvas app url problem

Hi!
I am required to use the '#' symbol in my canvas app url, however, salesforce changes everything that exists after that symbol when creating the iframe. Because of this, the layout displayed in the canvas iframe becomes different than the one displayed in my web browser. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks

Basically my app needs the '#' symbol to work correctly (it's a javascript app with ajax) but salesforce ignores everything that exists beyond the '#'

I believe this question is directed to connected apps. Does it support url's with hashes?

Has anyone discovered a workaround to allow the Canvas app's Start URL to have a # sign in it?
