First you need to check License for live agent. Goto SetUp-->Company Information. if you have this ;icense then you can enable Live agent in user detail section, other wise you can't use.

u need to enable this first. Please follow below steps to enable live agent in your org.
Click Your Name | Setup | Customize | Live Agent | Settings. Select Enable Live Agent. Click Save

Manager user -> clcik User (UserName)-> Edit--> Live Agent User checkbox cilck save After that it show 100% your Setup Menu then follow this

for free trial i.e.., 30 days, is Live agent option available or not?

Actually there is no section LIVE AGENT in setup --> customize
