trigger to sync unresolved items

Hello, 

Can anyone tell me how I might proceed to create a trigger on contact insert that would automatically sync unresolved items having the same email address? Is this even possible?

Hi Kevin,

Can you please provide some more details like what does this "unresolved items " means here. If this is related to some records of a particular object then Yes, we can query those records and update them in the contact trigger. Let me know if you need any help with the trigger.
