Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist superbadge error message: OAHBXRVL

Using a new org just for this badge and got this message at step 7.

Thanks!
John

I posted the above, and then tweeted I needed help after no reply. I then was told to open a case (Trailhead Case 00010362) and then got back a message to see this question (https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/?id=9060G0000005mO7) and the answer (he seemed to get help a lot faster than I did).

The suggested fix did not work for me. I got this error:
There was an unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. We recommend using a new Developer Edition (DE) to check this challenge. If you're using a new DE and seeing this error, please post to the developer forums and reference error id: RBGEWFBX

Can I have some guidance on my specific issue?

Thanks!

Hi John,

Sorry for this issue you are facing.

This kind of error pops up due to renaming reports or dashboards label after creation or when you Clone dashboards. Thus for any further challenges: DO NOT CLONE Dashboards or Reports. Always create from the scratch.

Try these steps and let us know if this helps:
- Delete the existing dashboards/reports.
- Delete it from the bin as well.
- Create new dashboards/reports.
- Refresh dashboards before checking up the challenge.
- Try to Check Challenge.

Tip: Also can you please confirm what kind of chart are you using to display the requested information?

Thanks,
Nagendra

Nagendra, Thank you for the reply. This is very frustrating as I did not clone anything and have always started from scratch. I have deleted the dashboard and folder and started over. Unfortunately, I got the error message again. Are you suggesting I need to redo ALL of the REPORTS again?? That is painful as it was very time consuming to pass that step previously. Is there anyway the system can be managed to pass me over this hurdle? I have completed the task, the automated system "grading" it is at fault here--not me. Here are screen captures of my work, (see attached) Kind Regards, John

I need to speak to someone about this issue. I have spent over 20 hours on this challenge getting bad data loads (import data tab not showing up) and the SAME error in two developer orgs, and three playgrounds. I have had to build this four times to get to the seventh step only to run into the same error. I need your help! Please!!! Kind Regards, John

Hi John,

Did you ever get a response to this? I'm having exact same issue at challenge 7 of the 'Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboard Specialist' badge. Like you I have spent a long time getting this far and don't want to have to start again!

Thanks,
Beth

Beth,

No. I have done this challenge five times. I had personal issues in September with a death in my family and now I am studying for another certification. When I am finished with that I will give the Trailhead people a full measure of my opinion. It is rediculous that I spent over 20 hours on this and still get their errors. I have tried different browsers, different orgs, all to no avail.

Very frustrated!

If you crack the code let me know.

Kind Regards,

John

Hi John,

Sorry to hear

I actually managed to complete this Superbadge after I posted on here, it seems to be the fix that you mentioned above on this question -  https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/?id=9060G0000005mO7. Weirdly enough going down the list Nagendra provided and fixing all the dashboard components stopped the error and allowed me to complete the challenge.

It's odd that this error seems to be a very common occurrence and it's not been fixed!

Thanks,
Beth

Hello,

So I had a hell of a time figuring out step 7, thought I'd share my setup in full detail to help people along because this step is notibly broken and needs to be fixed. I didn't have to spin up a new org or Trailhead Sandbox to comlpete this, just loads of small tweaks and refreshing the dashboard before checking the challenge. I've duplicated these details on Pastebin (https://pastebin.com/r102HTYT) as well for safe keeping.

Salesforce really needs to fix this challenge, there's no reason why it should be so picky about some of these values. In my humble opinion, it would be far better if we were told what chart type to use with what report and maybe check for the right x and y axis. The other stuff is just window dressing.

Thanks so much Zach, this did the trick for me!! Remember to keep refreshing your dashboard after EVERY TIME you save a component! The unexpected error message would show up for me if I saved the component but didn't refresh the dashboard.
