Is it possible to create pop up windows on opportunities to make sure that all necessary information is being filled in.

Hello,

I am wondering if something like this is possible using just workflows. An example of what I am trying to do would be if someone creates a new opportunity, then a window pops up for them to fill out name, then they click next and a window pops up for them to fill in company/title, etc.

Is this doable?

Hi Frank,

It is not possible through the standard salesforce given configuration functionality like workflow.
You should have to override the new button and develop Visualforce page or Lightning Component to achive your requirements.

I'm not entirely sure ot be honest. My boss asked me to try to automate our instance this way and I really dont have a good idea of where i should begin.

That is precisley what i am looking for, only in classic edition haha. I know begger cant be choosers at this point, but is there anything similar to that in classic?

Frank, it is time to move on to Lightning, no new features will be developed for Classic and now you have some leverage for your boss ;-)
