I have a requirement where i need to delete few Account records from my Production and do backup for them in seperate sandbox.Backup of Accounts should also include all its related lists data including ATTACHMENTS.Am unable to export& backup attachments on those specific records that are to be deleted.

I did "Data Export" and also i exported through Data Loader using "Attachments" Object but i couldn't get any files except their Id's.

Can Someone help with your valuable suggestions?

Hi Anusha,

I trust you are doing very well.

You can use SFDC File Exporter for bulk download.

https://www.sfdcfileexporter.com/sffxhome/

You can also use dataloader.io

https://dataloader.io/dealing-attachments

I hope it helps you.

Kindly let me know if it helps you and close your query by marking it as solved so that it can help others in future.

Thanks and Regards,

Khan,

Thanks for the quick response!

we are not allowed to use any third party tool or any appexchange tool for this. Is there any other way to do this?

Use salesforce dataexport ..

From Setup, enter Data Export in the Quick Find box, then select Data Export and Export Now or Schedule Export.
The Export Now option prepares your files for export immediately. This option is only available if enough time has passed since your last export.
The Schedule Export option allows you to schedule the export process for weekly or monthly intervals.
Select the desired encoding for your export file.
Select Include images, documents, and attachments and Include Salesforce Files and Salesforce CRM Content document versions to include these items in your export data.

Hi Anusha,

From Setup, enter Data Export in the Quick Find box, then select Data Export and then choose Export Now or Schedule Export.
If you want to Export now then choose export now otherwise you can schedule the export after some interval.
Choose the encoding according to your requirement for exporting the file and also choose to include images, documents, files and attachment in the export file.

You can back up all your Salesforce data, even Attachments (except Metadata) with the help of Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/backup/salesforce-backup). It`s reliable and convenient backup solution which allows you to backup Salesforce data automatically on a daily basis. And you only pay for the storage space required for your backups.

Is the native Salesforce data export tool (creating weekly export files) the only tool that will backup Salesforce Files that are attached to data records? There seem to be lots of apps/tools that backup the older "attachments", but none that  have seen so far that claim to be able to include Salesforce files within a backup package. With "attachments" being a thing of the Classic era, this seems really surprising!

As it has already been written above, you can backup Salesforce attachments via Skyvia backup. If you want to export this data, their tutorial will be really useful: https://skyvia.com/tutorials/how-to-export-data-from-salesforce
