Hello there! I want to create a new field as a datatype is a picklist. I have given the field label which is exceeded the field length. After creating the field the field label is not completely visible in the UI. 

How to increase the field width?

Hope you are doing great. There is a limit on salesforce field label length and is currently 40. You can upvote an idea here, https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000Y2HMAA0. However, Salesforce is not planning to increase this. So I would suggest using a shortcut or so, but take advantage of Help text feature to provide users with the detailed label.
