Hi Simran,

Cases and Contacts are a part of Service cloud. 
So every case is filled via Customer (Contact) which will be taken care by internal team (Case Executive / Employees).

So to identify which Customer has filed a case to the community, contact field is available (pre-populated sometimes) on community.
