Redirecting to a visual force page

Hi,

I've got a Visualforce page at https://dacs.secure.force.com/enquiry but I'm trying to make it look like it is hosted at http://enquiry.dacs.org.uk (so the URL in the browser looks like this even though the content is at  https://dacs.secure.force.com/enquiry) . I've tried frames but that doesn't work.

What is the best way to do this?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

I am afraid that for this, you would have to configure a custom domain and then redirect that domain to your SF org.

Hope it helps

I can create a page at http://enquiry.dacs.org.uk  but I'm not sure how to redirect that to my SF org. I've tried frames but that didn't work.

Hi Martin,

You would have to create a link between your org and that domain.
1) https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000205653&language=en_US&type=1
2) https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=domain_name_setup.htm&type=0

These links should help you in breaking the ice.

Thanks, I'm getting there, now when I type in  http://enquiry.dacs.org.uk it goes to https://dacs.secure.force.com/enquiry.

However I'm wanting it to show the page https://dacs.secure.force.com/enquiry while the browser still displays http://enquiry.dacs.org.uk.

What do I need to do?

I found a work around that allowed me to use iframes to display the external page on my Dacs.org.uk site, but it doesn't look to be the best way to do this.

To “fix” the issue I had to set the “Clickjack Protection Level” to “Allow framing by any page (no protection)” on the site edit page.
