multiple roles per user?

Does anybody know when SFDC will fix this problem?

Hi Richard,

Sorry, you cannot assign either multiple profiles or roles to a single user. One would typically create a single profile with sufficient permissions and then place the users of this profile high enough up in the role hierarchy.

There is an idea on the success community which is under product team review for which you can upvote. Hope this helps.
