How to change Status of Contract from Active to Inactive?

I'm not able to make Status as Inactive on Contracts. How Can I achieve this ?

Hi Suhas,

There is no way to inactivate contracts with a status change. 
If you want to make it look as inactivated you should change the contract start date and term ( e.g. term 1 month and contract start date 1st of June) and you can also add a picklist value Inactivated for status ( you have to use one of the existing categories ).

Another option would be to delete it.
In order to delete it when it's activate you need Delete Activated Contracts permission and Read on Accounts.
In order to delete it when it's not active you need Delete Contracts permission and Read on Accounts.
