Need to set up a counter formula on the Lead page to equal a certain stage based on completed activity count (tasks and events).

For example: Stage 0 to appear in new field if there are 0-3 activities, Stage 1 to appear if there are 4-10 activities, and so on.
Have been told to create triggers or a flow.  Has anyone had to create this and had some success?  If getting the Stage name is too much of a strech than just being able to know the total of completed tasks and events on a Lead would be great.
