Is it possible to create a new lead button URL on the opportunity object and relate the opportunity to the new record?

Hi Meredith,

Yes, it is possible, for creating custom Button link on opportunity object please follow below steps.
  • Click on setup---> Goto Customize--> Select opportunity object--> Click "Buttons, Links, and Actions" --> Click on  "New Button or link" 
  • Please refer below image onceUser-added image 
  • Now Just Add This Button to page layout, Just refer image onceUser-added image
After creating a Lead record, we need to convert that record.
