Advantages of Force.com Migration Tool compared to Workbench

Are there any advantages to using the Force.com Migration Tool instead of just using the Deploy/Retrieve options in Workbench? Thanks in advance for your help.

Workbench and Force.com of Salesforce migration toolkits have their own features, though through above given link you can find the detailed answer of your question, but in brief the Workbench is a well known company, which provides various tools for Salesforce that are usable for Salesforce developers and admin both. For migration you may be needed a package.xml file and a directory structure, both having the same structure,
For Force.com you may need to be familiar with ANT and package.xml for successful deployment. It is good for repetitive deployments and is admin friendly. Workbench is also Admin friendly and you may not be able to do destructive changes through Workbench and is not repeatable as well.
Force.com can also offer you version control, through which you can save your conventional version. For any larger system deployment Force.com is recommended. Through Force.com you can easily deploy all the object’s fields just by mentioning object in XML and if you want to delete any object then through Destructive.XML you can easily do it. Force.com deployment can be implemented for any organization.
