Red Rover, Red Rover, Send Messages on Over

I'm trying to use the brand new trail: Build A Mars Communication Link but not getting very far. On the second unit, Red Rover, Red Rover, Send Messages on Over, it asks you to create a new custom object (simple enough) but in my playground I get a blank screen when I ckick "Create Custom Object". WTH?

Still no luck progressing with this module. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem.
