I'm having an issue getting this error:

Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong:
The license and profile are set incorrectly for Ada Balewa.

Now, I have tried EVERY user profile/license combination available, and none seem to work for Ada Balewa... I also have issues with having the second User active (I can only seem to have myself and one other user active which is currently Shinje as per the instructions), I've also tried creating a custom profile with "Moderate Chatter" selected, but the error still remains the same, and I've hit a hurdle...

Hi Ben,

I finished this challenge this morning and did run into a couple of snags with some user settings.

For Ada Balewa, she will not have a role but will have the Chatter Free User Licence and Chatter Moderator User Profile. Since she is not a Salesforce User, she will be allowed to be Active along with Shinje.

Good luck!

Hi, I don't see the Chatter Free User License available to be selected in my Trailhead playground on the create User page. Am I missing something for where this can be attached to a User?

Kavan,

When you create or edit a user, there should be two dropdown menus in the top-right corner. The first for User License and the second for Profile. If those are not appearing in your UI, please attach a screenshot of what it does look like.

Thanks for the prompt response! Here's what it looks like:

Definitely weird since I didn't notice a limit on the number of Chatter Free licenses that could be given to users. I can't think of anything at the moment but I'll keep thinking about it and hopefully someone else who has had the same problem and found the answer will see the post too.

Good luck.

I just figured it out - once assigning a standard license you cannot downgrade a user. I needed to recreate Ada as a new user and then I was able to select the Chatter Free User License along with the Chatter Moderator profile.

Great! Good luck finishing the rest of the module.

Hey All, just adding another tip to the answers here since I have see trailblazers restarting from scratch by creating another Org to finish the challenge. In the trailhead account, you can deactivate the User object's validation rule "NoUsernameChangesAllowed" and update the username. Once this is done, try to give it a go and see if you can change the username

You cannot change existing user's Licence to Chatter Free Licence. The same as Kavan Reddy's screenshot. Only NEW USER can have Chatter free licence, so correct licence should be selected before first user save.

Did not work for me. I have followed all instructions and I am pretty clueless right now.
Any other suggestions????

Now I found the solution, I forgot to verify the account.  :-)

I fixed this error by renaming the old Ada Balewa user account, creating a new one from scratch and assigning the correct Profile.
