Update Page Layout with Metadata API (using REST API)
Hi everyone!
I need to add new account custom fields to the account page layout. Are there any ways to do that? Is it possible to modify page layout using REST API?

Eg: User object is referred by - [ Contact, owner field of any object ]
I see page layouts is a way where this list is mentioned, but i could only find all the objects that are already included in a page layout and not the list of object that can potentially be included in the pgLayout
I am not sure where to retrieve all layouts from. I can do it through the describeLayouts() endpoint, but that seems to exclude the actual layout names which I definitely need.
I referenced this question and twisted to the metadata file-based API calls which is shown above. I too did name: 'CustomObject' but it wasn't part of that reply either. Any ideas?
