I do not have permission to download an App from the App Exchange so I'm unable to complete a module. How do I get permissions? Also I was unable to upload a CSV file as it keeps failing and this is preventing me from completing another module.

André -- are you working in someone else's org? If you are working on Trailhead modules, you should spin up a new Dev org and complete your work there. If you spin up a new dev org, you will automatically be assigned as a System Administrator, and have the permission to install apps from the AppExchange.
