Not invoking user trigger when we update Email for Standard Platform user

I need to track the email change for Standard platform user and do some logic. But This is not happening as email change is not invoking user trigger. Is this a known issue or is there any way to get the changed email in Trigger?

This is a tricky situation. As we know, email change in User object goes through an email based confirmation to the new email address.

Even though the change in email address fires the trigger, trigger.New list still shows the old email address.

Not even history tracking is possible yet on User object.

I believe you need to contact Salesforce Support to find out if there are any workaround.
