I need a custom field that will count down the number of seats for a custom object called Program Events

I have a custom object called Program Events and a custom field called Max Class Size (50).  I would like to be able to count down the number of seats available when a person registers for the Program Event. I'm not sure how to make that happen

I can think of a few ways that this can be done, but it all depends on how people register for a Program Event. Could you please describe the process for us?

Hi Parker,
We are using a Cvent to Marketo to Salesforce integration.  People will register through Cvent then Marketo will add them to Salesforce as a Cvent Registrant, then I have two look up fields, one for Contact & Account, once those fields are completed we have a button that will be clicked to add the Cvent Registrant as a Program Attendee to the Program Event.
