standard lookup | more than one objects can be specified in lookup, how to detect

Hello,

On the object case i have a field called "Case owner", this field is a look up.

this lookup can be "queue" or "user".

How can i know that if it is a "queue" or "user" in Apex ?

thanks for suggestions.

You can look at the first 3 characters of the id. This link shows you the what the 3 characters are.
