I am trying to complete in the Learn CRM Essential, Under Data Quality-Assessing the Quality of Data and I am unable to download the assessment APP as I dont have the correct permissions. How do I pass this if I can't download?

Hi Melissa,

Try the below steps to complete the challenge

1)Get into https://appexchange.salesforce.com

2)In the top right corner in search dialogue box enter Data Assessment and click on the app
 
3)In the next page you get an option of Get It Now when you click on this button you will be prompted with two options

4)  a)Install in production
     b)Install in Sandbox
  choose the first option(Install in Production)

5)"This app does not list support for your edition of Salesforce. You can continue installation, but it may fail later in the process.", the above error will be displayed in the next page.Click on I accept terms and conditions and click on confirm and install button on the above page.

6)Now you will be prompted to login with your developer edition login credentials.

7)In the next step, you will be prompted with three options

   a)Install for Admins Only
   b)Install for All Users
   c)Install for Specific Profiles...
  
  Choose the first option from the above(Install for Admins Only) then click on install

8)Select on grant access and click on continue and click on done

9)Now log into your developer edition org and refresh the page, on the top right corner in the app menu you will be able to see data assessment app.

10)Thereafter follow the rest of instructions, you will be able to successfully complete the challenge.

If you are getting the above error please make sure you are logging in with a system administrator profile.Still, if the problem persists kindly log out of app exchange and try logging in with developer org credentials which should probably resolve the issue.

Following the same did the trick when I tried the challenge today with new developer org.

It looks like the issue is, when I try and download the data.com app., it is using my actual salesforce credentials and not my trailhead credential. No matter what I do I can’t get it to igmore my real account and accept my admin rights in trailhead. I need to get this to work but I have no idea what else to do. Thanks!

I am also a new hire who recently ran into this same issue. In order to resolve the issue, I followed this guide in order to access my username and reset my password:

After doing so, I roughly followed the guide posted above by Nagendra. After selecting to install in production and being redirected to the test.salesforce login, you must select the Log In with a Different Username and enter in your Trailhead username and password.
