how can i make only the record owner edit the fields even after the approval process locks the record.

Hi All,

I have approval process on custom object.. i have locked the record on final approval actions..
Now i want only the record owner edit some of the fields..after the record is approved.. I thought the case owner can always edit the record..
Appreciate any help.. any inputs please.

Hi 

In case the record creater has right to udpate the fields after the record has been submitted for Approval then there is no integrity of Approcal process, the actual record that is sent for approval must not be updated once submitted.

Other solution would be to remove standard approval process or you can create a child object and initiate Approval process on that child record that way you can update the parent/original record.

One question.. How do i make sure that the record creator has right to update after the record has been submitted..?
