Minimum Permissions necessary for a user to Run reports? Limitations?

Need detailed information on reports and dashboard its limits and what is the minimum access needed for running
1) reports of self owned records ? and
2) subordinate record if his manager runs it.?

Please someone help with Info on Access and Limits required to Run reports in all aspects?

To create, edit, and delete reports you would need  “Create and Customize Reports” AND “Report Builder” permission.
