When I try to create a new opportunity, it does not have the correct fields like opporunity name, type etc. How acan we change that?

Hi Gagandeep,

Looks like you have upgrade your page to Dynamic Forms, please make sure you have also place the name on the layout.

No, I'm not using Dynamic forms.

may be check how many page layouts and record types available in the org. see if some one changed page layout for the default record type. 
Also check the last modified user in the object > page layout to see if someone have updated as part of any requirement.
