How do I resolve the error 'Cannot Open your Default Email Folders (xxx.pst) in Outlook' ?

Hello Peter,

Outlook Error Cannon open your default email folder is a widespread error you face & there are Two Major Reasons listed below;
  • Outlook Running in Compatibility Mode.
  • .PST file Corruption.

To disable your Compatibility Mode, please follow the steps below;
  • Local Disk: C> Program Files> Microsoft Office> Office XX> Outlook.exe.
  • Right-click on the “Outlook.exe” file, click on “Properties,” and move to the “Compatibility” tab.
  • Next, uncheck the “Run this program in compatibility mode” box.
  • Finally, click on “Apply” to switch off the compatibility mode successfully.

If you still get the same error, then Repair your Outlook .PST file;
