How to distribute my APP to customers

I developed an integration Lightning Connected app in my product.
However when I try to use trial account (my development one seems ok) I get 403 (rest api not enabled). I realize that this is a limitation of a trial account, hence my question:

In order to distribute my inner integration to my users for free, should I even register to partners program or leverage that users will have REST Api enabled in their Salesforce Organizations?

Hi Maciek,

Check below reference to distribute your app and yes trail version has limitation like licenses, api calls etc.,

https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sf.uploading_packages.htm&type=5

Hope above information was helpful.

Hi Vinay,

I don't necessary understand the concept of packages. The app is hosted on our production server, we only want to call Salesforce REST API on behalf of our customers.

You would need 'API enabled' permission to make API call

So if I understood it right every user of our app will have to enable Rest API in order to use it with Salesforce? Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐

Yes,  your org should be API enabled and on profile under 'Administrative Permissions',  API Enabled should be checked.

Hope this helps...

What about other orgs? If they authenticate to our app via OAuth will they be able to use it too?
VinayVinay (Salesforce Developers)
They should be API enabled for any API transaction.  You can try using Postman tool for testing purpose.

On App Store connect, I am planning on distributing an app using the "Distribution for Business and Education" > " "Available privately as a custom app for business" option. After adding a DEP Customer ID to this section, would there be anything else I need to do? How long would it take for the app to become available to the customer? Does my app need to go through the app store review process? How do I choose when/where a build (and which build) of the app goes out to which customer?
I can't find much information on these questions. Any help would be much appreciated :)
