Apex After Update Trigger Fires in Classic but Not In Lightning Experience

I have a custom object that has an Apex after update trigger that works fine after a record is edited in SF Classic.  However in Lighting Experience the trigger does not fire (no logs in Developer console).  What could be causing this?

Is it possible that flow trigger is fired is classic version of salesforce but not in lightning version?

Have the same issue. Flow works in classic, but does not work in lightning
