Hi,
The Salesforce Certified Administrator examination costs $ 200 plus local taxes. With a 18% tax rate, the total comes to $ 236. As of today, it comes to INR 17,700. Additionally there is a charge imposed for converting Indian rupees to US dollars. I had a few colleagues apply for it and it charged a littles less than 500 rupees back in March. So your total cost comes around Rs 18,200 inclusive of taxes.
If you fail the first time, each retake costs $ 100 plus taxes. Basically 50% of Rs 18,200.
Salesforce also has certain vouchers available to be redeemed. You can participate in any of the Certification Days Webinar. Previously all participants received a $ 70 voucher, now they receive a $ 100 voucher which can be applied thrice to take any three exams priced $ 200. Salesforce occasionally organizes events like Level Up Challenge, Journey to Salesforce and other quests on Trailhead via which you can stand a chance to win a $ 200 voucher and appear for the exam free of cost!
I had won a voucher by participating in the Level Up Challenge and hence I could take the exam free of cost and got myself certified.
